The “If you build it, they will come” mentality only works in the movies. You have an amazing website and sales tool but your prospects need to find it first. Whether your company utilizes direct mail, email campaigns, traditional or outdoor advertising, make sure your audience is aware of what you are selling and knows where to find you.

Set a budget aside to drive traffic to your site and don’t spend all your money and resources on the site itself. If you need to build on a budget take baby-steps and launch the site in phases. You wouldn’t open a store in the middle of the desert without any roads that lead to it or signs that point to it. So don’t build a website without a plan for visitors to find it.
